Acclaimed Australian Crime Writer Garry Disher Added to Speaker List

The Whitsundays Writers Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of esteemed Australian crime writer Garry Disher to its prestigious lineup of speakers.

Garry, known for his captivating narratives and award-winning career, eagerly anticipates engaging with fellow writers and readers at the festival.

Residing on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, Garry has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award from the Australian Crime Writers Association. His latest works, including the bestselling Hirsch novel, Day’s End and the gripping standalone thriller, Sanctuary, have captivated audiences worldwide.

Garry’s literary prowess extends beyond borders, with translations of his works enthralling audiences globally. His series featuring characters such as Hirsch, Wyatt, and Peninsula crime novels have consistently appeared on best-seller lists and secured numerous best-crime-novel awards in Australia and Germany.
