As soon as Townsville-based hobby pianist Lorie Brink learnt to type accurately, she fell in love with her hands dancing over a different keyboard. This created the desire to type someone’s book and it has taken almost four decades to realise it was her own action-adventure books that needed typing. Her debut novel True to Her Word will be released this year, and her e-books Gunnie’s Last Round and Operation Incapacitate are currently available.

Festival Vice President and Airlie Beach local, Melinda Louise Hutchings, is a media commentator, writer, speaker and mentor dedicated to helping people overcome adversity. Having lost her teenage years to anorexia, Melinda is passionate about promoting positive body image and empowering people to trust the voice that speaks from their heart. Her titles include Why Can’t I Look the Way I Want? Overcoming Eating Issues, It Will Get Better; Finding Your Way Through Teen Issues, and Surviving Anorexia.

For three decades new Airlie Beach local, Joab Russo has been investigating and corroborating spiritual information. This has culminated in his first debut into spiritual writing with the book Absolute Truth, which has been translated to French, Italian and Spanish, and is additionally being translated to nine other languages. Along with a sequel to Absolute Truth, Joab is currently working on his first high fantasy novel, which explores and demonstrates Absolute Truth principles.
